The refurbished GE Venue Go is proudly presented to you by AME. This premier ultrasound unit, replacing the popular GE Venue 40 and Venue 50 portable ultrasound systems, has many desirable and popular updates. For starters, the system is larger than its predecessors. While the Venue 40 and 50 are very small and portable, the Venue Go is a tablet system that is nearly four times larger than it's older siblings.
While this makes the system less portable, it also makes it more user-friendly and helps provide higher quality images, without sacrificing the convenience of the tough-screen that medical experts enjoy.
Another important update that this system contains is the type of probes that the unit is compatible with. The Venue 40 and Venue 50 have speciality transducers that are not compatible with any other GE ultrasounds - the probes who's name end with "SC". The Venue Go, on the other hand, is compatible with some of GE's most popular probes that are compatible with other portable units (Logiq E, Vivid I, Voluson Swift), and stationary units (Voluson S8, Vivid T8, Logiq P9). This makes probes more accessible to find parts and service for, makes probes more readily and easily available, and allows users to swap between systems more easily; for example, if an office has a Logiq E and Venue Go, and one of the probes from one system breaks, a provider can easily use the probe from the working unit.
The Venue Go is a shared service unit; capable of performing nearly all standard ultrasound exams other than prostate, and 3D/4D echo and abdominal images. Instead, it's commonly used for point-of-care, emergency medicine, MSK / vascular, and standard OB-GYN imaging.
