The Philips Sparq is a compact ultrasound designed for emergency medicine and point-of-care ultrasound imaging. A system that is quick to boot-up, easy to transport and simple to use, the Sparq is the culmination of ultrasound technology from the last few decades.
The Sparq is Philips first major step away from the traditional user-interface, going with a complete touch-panel with no knobs or buttons. Despite these uncommon features, it is a full shared service ultrasound, including a PureWave TEE transesophageal probe, a linear array probe (small parts / vascular / MSK), a curved array (abdominal) probe, a phased array (cardiac / pediatric and neonatal abdominal / transcranial) transducer and an endocavitary (women's health) transducer.
The used Philips Sparq is designed for ease-of-use, excellent image quality, and efficiency in the exam room. The Sparq incorporates Philips top imaging technologies, including SonoCT compound imaging, XRES, and a 17″ High Resolution LCD monitor. These technologies, used to enhance images, make the system easier to use and to help a doctor best diagnose patients are all components that make the Sparq so adored.

Compatible Ultrasound Transducers / Probes:
By changing the frequency of the sound into different beams (as opposed to one stronger blast), lowers the speckle that echoes back to the image, for the larger the beam, the more speckle. Another method includes lowering the beam’s power entirely – sacrificing slight image resolution but also preventing more speckle damage from perverting the image.
